Shaver Lake is located one hour northeast of Fresno, California in the Southern Sierra Nevada Mountains. With an elevation of 5500 feet, you can experience mild summers with highs in the mid 80’s. Shaver Lake winters bring lows around 30° and an average snowfall of 12 feet. If you are looking for a great place to set your sails, kick up some dust in your off-road sports vehicle or catch dinner in a nearby river, then Shaver Lake is waiting for you!
Shaver is a recreational mountain lake that offers exciting activities year round. Summertime can be spent outdoors where you can choose from countless water activities like boating, fishing, waterskiing, kayaking and more. There is also backpacking, hiking, camping, horse packing trips and SUV back road exploration. Or, if you just want to tackle a mountain on your bike, you can do that too! During the winter, hit the ski slopes or take on the snowboard park at Sierra Summit. Hunting, snowshoeing and snowmobiling are also readily available. Or, just curl up in front of a warm crackling fire and unwind!
